Kentucky Cow Claims Grand at the International Junior Brown Swiss Show
MADISON, WIS. – The pair of Senior Champions claimed Grand and Reserve Grand Champion of the International Junior Brown Swiss Show on Wednesday, October 4. Grand Champion went to the winning junior of the Component Merit Cow Class, Dutch-Marie Dundee Allie. She is the recipient of the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award and the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Allie is owned by Hadleigh, Ezra and Kenna Jones and Kelly Jo Manion of Edmonton, Ky. Reserve Grand Champion honors went to the winning junior of the Aged Cow, Six-Year-Old & Over Cow, Northkill Creek Groovy, owned by Hannah and Mark Balthaser of Bernville, Penn.
Intermediate Champion went to Pit-Crew Phantom Kristine, the winning junior of the Summer Junior Two-Year-Old Class. Kristine is exhibited by Abby Foss of Cambridge, Minn. Reserve Intermediate Champion went to the Colebrook Creek Dt Alina, the winning junior of the Junior Three-Year-Old Class, owned by Abigail Wilber of New Hartford, Conn.
Junior and Reserve Junior Champion honors went to the pair of Winter Yearlings. Shelburne BR Dells Designer NP, owned by Hayleigh Geurink and Kelvin Webster of Blue Mounds, Wis., was tapped as Junior Champion. Reserve Junior Champion went to Pit-Crew Devils Rhythm, exhibited by Allison Foss of Cambridge, Minn.
Official judge, Chris Lahmers of Marysville, Ohio, and associate judge, Richard “RT” Thompson of Darlington, Wis., evaluated the 148 junior entries.
