Toppglen Wishful Thinking-ET Tops International Junior Ayrshire Show

MADISON, WIS. – Toppglen Wishful Thinking-ET was named the Grand Champion Female of the International Junior Ayrshire Show and took home the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Cash Award on September 28, 2021, at World Dairy Expo®. Wishful Thinking started by winning Senior Champion Female of the Junior Show and the Lifetime Component Merit Cow Class before claiming the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award. Wishful Thinking was shown by Tanner, Brennan, Marissa and Logan Topp of West Salem, Ohio. Family Af-Ayr Maxxx Dreamer followed as the Reserve Grand Champion, Intermediate Champion, and top Senior Three-Year-Old Cow. Dreamer was exhibited by Rachel Hefel and Mark Fisher of Epworth, Iowa.

River-Valley Gavin’s Brooke was named the Reserve Senior Champion and placed second in the Lifetime Component Merit Cow Class for the International Junior Ayrshire Show. She is owned by Megan, Johnathan, Bradley and Sarah Hill of Bristol, Vermont. Moy-Ayr Burdette Lightning-ET, shown by Steve, Pauline, Rebecca & Emily Schmidt of Delavan, Wisconsin, was named Reserve Intermediate Champion and the second-place Senior Three-Year-Old Cow.

Junior Champion and Reserve Junior Champion Female were Wingert’s Bigtime Journey and Flambeau Manor King Bacardi, respectively. Journey, the winning Spring Yearling Heifer, was shown by Avery Kotlarczyk and Eva Gilmore of Brandenton, Florida. Bacardi, the first-place Fall Heifer Calf, was exhibited by Isabelle Vandoorn of Tony, Wisconsin.

Official judge Michael Creek of Hagerstown, Maryland, and associate judge Jamie Howard from Burgessville, Ontario, Canada, placed a total of 95 animals in the International Junior Ayrshire Show.
