Glory for Gloriana in the International Junior Jersey Show

MADISON, WIS. – Winning Senior Three-Year-Old, Four-Hills Velocity Gloriana, was named Grand Champion and Intermediate Champion of the International Junior Jersey Show, taking home the $500 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Cash Award on Wednesday, October 2. Gloriana was shown by Megan Hill of Bristol, Vt. Following Gloriana was the Reserve Grand Champion Meadow Ridge Kasanova Sara, exhibited by Michael Riebe and Alleah & Emma Anderson of Cumberland, Wis. Sara was also Senior Champion and first in the Four-Year-Old Cow Class. Gloriana and Sara received the Lillian & Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award, respectively.

Rounding out the champion group were Reserve Senior Champion, Chilli Nitro Cabo-ET, and Reserve Intermediate Champion, DKG Ritzs Relentless Sugar. Cabo was the winning Five-Year Old Cow shown by River Valley Farm, Ben, Andy, Blessing & Grace Sauder of Tremont, Ill. Sugar was exhibited by J, D, T, L & B Greiwe and G, G & M Hageman of Sidney, Ohio, and was second behind Gloriana in the Senior Three-Year-Old Cow Class.

Townside Norman Kookie, the winning Winter Yearling Heifer, was named Junior Champion. Kookie was shown by Noah Bilz and Greg Cornish of Dorchester, Wis. Landree Fraley of Muncy, Pa. exhibited KCJF Andreas Cancun, the Reserve Junior Champion and winning Fall Yearling Heifer.

Official judge Jack Lomeo Jr. of Sylvan Beach, N.Y. and associate judge Brent Walker from Guelph, Ontario, Canada placed a total of 121 animals in the International Junior Jersey Show.
