Get Social with World Dairy Expo®
MADISON, WIS. – World Dairy Expo invites attendees to enjoy the 51st annual event and all it has to offer. Five days filled with the best cattle in North America and an award-winning Trade Show would not be complete without attendee features of the same caliber.
Attendees are encouraged to visit The Tanbark, Expo’s very own pub-style restaurant, located on the east end of the Estrumate Sale Pavilion. Open daily at 11 a.m., The Tanbark will feature hot soups and sandwiches, a farm-to-table salad bar and full bar that can be enjoyed while watching ExpoTV, conducting business or simply socializing. Be sure to stop by for Happy Hour in the Tanbark from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, sponsored by DeLaval, Inc. and Thursday and Friday, sponsored by Slot Drain Systems.
On Wednesday, October 4, Expo attendees and stakeholders are invited to the WDE Welcome Reception from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Located in the Exhibition Hall, this family-friendly social will feature a wide array of Wisconsin cheeses and refreshments to enjoy while greeting the 2017 Expo Recognition Award Winners and enjoying the company of friends, new and old.
Following the WDE Welcome Reception is Dinner with the Stars, a formal banquet honoring the Dairy Woman of the Year, Marilyn Hershey, Dairyman of the Year, Charles Ahlem, Industry Person of the Year, Ben Brancel, and International Person of the Year, Derrick Frigot. Dinner tickets may be purchased at worlddairyexpo.com or by contacting the Expo office at 608-224-6455.
The social events continue into the weekend with Expo in the Evening in The Tanbark on Friday, October 6 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Attendees and exhibitors of all walks of life are welcome to enjoy a night of live music from WheelHouse, refreshments and fellowship.
Attendees looking for additional dining options should visit the WDE website for a complete list of menu items at Expo along with a guide to Madison area restaurants.
