Debs Dominates the International Brown Swiss Show

MADISON, WIS. – Ss Debs 929, owned by Landen Knapp, Epworth, Iowa, took home Grand and Senior Champion of the 2024 International Brown Swiss Show after snagging the title of Component Merit Cow. She is the recipient of the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy and the $1000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion. Reserve Grand Champion went to Brown Heaven Carter Tutti, owned by Brian Pacheco of Kerman, Calif, who won the Aged Cow Class.

Intermediate Champion went to the Junior Two-Year-Old cow, Pit-Crew Daredevil Shay, owned by Pit-Crew Genetics of Cambridge, Minn. Shay earned the Eugene Nelson Intermediate Champion Award. The winning Summer Junior Two-Year-Old, Just So D Tangerine, was named Reserved Intermediate Champion. She is owned by Just So Farm, Lake Mills, Wis.

Jenlar Rasta Westlynn-ETV, the winning Fall Yearling Heifer, was chosen as the Junior Champion and received the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award. Westlynn is owned by Siemers Holsteins Farm, Inc., of Newton, Wis. Following as Reserve Junior Champion was the winning Winter Yearling Heifer, Pit-Crew Collaps Talista. Talista is leased by Allison Foss and owned by Pit-Crew Genetics, Cambridge, Minn.

Brown Heaven of Vercheres, Quebec, Canada, claimed Premier Breeder honors. Premier exhibitor went to Just So Farm of Lake Mills, Wis. Premier Sire was Hilltop Acres B Daredevil-ET. Opsal-JH and Black Ridge Genetics of Blue Mounds, Wis. were awarded Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer Show.

Official judge, Phillip Topp of Botkins, Ohio, and associate judge, Kaleb Kruse of Dyersville, Iowa, evaluated the 379 entries.
