Lilly Lands Another Win in the International Red & White Show

MADISON, WIS. – Premium Apple Crisp Lilly-Red was named Grand Champion of the International Red & White Show on Thursday, October 3. Prior to Lilly being named Grand Champion, the winning Five-Year-Old was tapped Senior Champion. She is owned by Butlerview Farm of Chebanse, Ill. Glaustar Calif All Out-Red-ET, the winning Aged Cow, took home Reserve Grand and Reserve Senior Champion honors. All Out is owned by Jay Ackley and Donald E. Simpson of East Liberty, Ohio.

Intermediate Champion went to the winning Yearling in Milk, Cherry-Lor Robin-P-Red, owned by Phillip McCormick of Millmont, Pa. Robin received the Eugene Nelson Intermediate Champion Award. Standing next to Robin was Wildweed Warrior Maui-Red of Elmvue Farm, Johnstown, N.Y., the winning Senior Three-Year-Old, taking home Reserve Intermediate Champion honors.

Junior Champion was claimed by the Fall Heifer Calf, Milksource A Tierney-Red, owned by Clarkvalley, Pierre Boulet, and Jeff and Jim Butler, of Woodville, Ontario. She receives the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award. Following as the Reserve Junior Champion is Red-Violet The North-Red. The winning Winter Heifer Calf is owned by Hailey Abraham and Ella Spiniolas of Harvard, Ill.

Elmvue Farm, Johnstown, N.Y., claimed Premier Exhibitor and Milk Source Genetics, LLC of Kaukauna, Wis. was named Premier Breeder. In the heifer show, Betley Family Farms, Pulaski, Wis., took home Premier Breeder honors, while Reyncrest Farm and Fly-Higher Holsteins, Corfu, N.Y. won Premier Exhibitor. Famear Altitude-Red-ET was the Premier Sire and Mr Blondin Warrior-Red-ET was the Premier Sire of the Heifer Show for the third consecutive year.

Official judge, Kevin Doeberiener, of West Salem, Ohio, and associate judge, Adam Hodgins, of Kincardine, Ontario, Canada, evaluated the 325 entries.
