CANADIAN COW CROWNED GRAND CHAMPION OF 2012 INTERNATIONAL HOLSTEIN OPEN SHOW

MADISON, WISCONSIN – RF Goldwyn Hailey, exhibited by Gen-Com Holstein Ltd, of N-D du Bon Conseil, Quebec, was crowned Grand Champion in the 2012 International Holstein Open Show and received the Udder Comfort $1,000 Cash Award. Hailey was also named the Six-Year-Old & Older Cow and Senior Champion of the Show. Jeff Butler, Joe & Amber Price, of Chebanse, Ill., exhibited Cookview Goldwyn Monique to win Reserve Grand Champion honors, as well as the Intermediate Champion of the show.              

Canada commanded in Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor. Ferme Jacobs, of Cap-Sante, Quebec, won the Premier Breeder honor and Gen-Com Holsteins, of N-D du Bon Conseil, Quebec, earned the Premier Exhibitor Award.  Braedale Goldwyn was named Premier Sire at the 2012 International Holstein Open Show.

Mike Heath, of Westminister, Md., with the help of Associate Judge David Dyment, of Dundas, Ontario, placed  a total of 392 animals. Overall show results and placings are as follows:
